My camera won’t shoot with the Cinematic® lens attached, what should I do?
Go into your camera settings and enable “Shoot Without Lens (ON)” or “Release Without Lens (ON)”. After that, it will work perfectly.
Is the Cinematic® lens actually disposable?
No. It’s made from repurposed disposable film camera optics, but once rebuilt, it works as a durable pancake lens for your mirrorless camera.

No — it’s a free-focus lens. Everything is sharp from about 1.5m to infinity, making it perfect for street photography and creative shooting.

Will dust or small scratches affect image quality?
Since the lens is repurposed, minor imperfections may be visible. But they don’t affect performance — they actually add to the raw film aesthetic.
Is this lens good in low light?
It’s a small aperture lens (around f/11), so in low light we recommend setting your ISO to 3200 or higher and keeping shutter speed above 1/50.
Can I use it for both photo and video?
Absolutely — the Cinematic® lens works seamlessly for both, giving your videos the same analog-inspired look.
